2021, the year of more Action…

Updated: Jan 20, 2022

Greetings to you wonderful beautiful person you!

It has been quite a while since I wrote and shared my perspectives with you. Well to be precise, it has been a whole year.

A few months ago it would have been appropriate to wish you a Happy New Year 2021 and wish you all the best in the new year! Oh well, as time has passed a lot, I will just keep it to Greetings earthlings! I hope 2021 is proving somehow productive than the last.

In order to achieve success each person needs to have good ability to quickly analyze information, be able to differentiate relevant from irrelevant, truthful information from fiction and most of all, be able to recognize their own strength and interests to build upon them. This is the age I live in.- Fardeen Blaq

But here’s the thing, we just must admit that It is not so much different from last year. With The Covid-19 Pandemic and then this whole vaccine situation and the controversy that is surrounding it! It is just crazy!! For me, the take away from last year - 2020, was the term Social Distancing. Let’s not talk about the whole mask situation. I would like to know what this whole Pandemic experience has been like for you. Be sure to write to me in the comment section.

By the way, I am Fardeen Amani. You know me as FARDEEN BLAQ if you are my internet friend. If not yet, hit me up, join my Tribe!

I am a Young Global Citizen Visionary and my mandate is to make sure that the rights of children are upheld through out the planet especially through education that is pedagogically sound. This just means that I learn what I want when I want according to my interest.

I want to update you all on what’s been happening in my life to warrant such a long silence.

I received the Diana Award on July 1st 2020. I am the youngest recipient in Africa too. Since receiving this recognition, I have had to equip myself further to carry out my responsibilities well. Come on I live in the age of The Greta and Malala. It does not get any better than this.

As Young people, we do have the POWER TO CHANGE THE WORLD!

Education has many challenges especially encouraging creativity, being able to keep up with ever-faster change, inspiring kids to develop their passions etc. We could do significantly better in getting prepared as kids for life. We live in this age of technological advancement and information abundance for the 21st Century learner.

Did you think I would sit back and not do something for change come on! I’m not a lame duck!!

Equipping myself by learning more about what has been happening on our planet especially when it comes to children and you my peers in our generation. I have had lots of conversations where I got to give my input that has created change around me. I started at the age of 9 when with the help of my father and his team, I set up an Education through Football program - FARDEEN FC TRAILBLAZERS TEAM - in Kwale County of Kenya. This was launched in 2017. The Football team has grown leaps and bounds and now has 160+ boys and girls aged between U-9 to U-16. My younger sister Hijaz has always supported me even though she is still young and upcoming. She is 10 years old now.

This year, another major achievement is to have been admitted as a KidsRights Changemaker. Do you know about the UNCRC? Let’s talk about it. What are some of the rights that interest you personally?

Hit me up in the comments.

Knowledge from research on learning is hardly reaching the hands of learners. It is my mandate to make sure this changes and everyone has access to the resources they need to learn and thrive as they deserve to. I am actively working to bring this to reality

I must let you know that I am very passionate about our generation being the ones to drive for the change we want to see. I push so hard for education and doing it our way, in our pace. I am doing it that way and loving it so why shouldn’t you?

We must not forget to keep ourselves safe in these times. Sanitize! Sanitize! Sanitize! Wear your masks. And keep practicing social distancing until all this tides over. Be responsible!! It is our only survival tool.
