I stand for the idea that places where power and influence are most concentrated must recognise and operationalise the importance of the actions and views of us young people in promoting and protecting the rights of all and the wellbeing of the planet for present and future generations. The time for readjustment has come. To do this, I galvanise young people everywhere to call on United Nations Member States to invoke Article 109 of the UN Charter to call a general conference to review and update the Charter.

The Charter’s current version fails to address some of humanity’s most pressing challenges… One-off adjustments are not enough. We need to think about reviewing and revising the Charter comprehensively… We cannot wait for another world tragedy, like World War II, to only then build a new governance on its rubbles. My goal is to seed the conversation about the next iteration of global governance among young Global Citizens before catastrophe forces our collective hand. We need not wait for World War III to come up with a better system.

A fundamental reimagining of inter-generational Allyship is Key. I am facilitating the collective participation of young people in official, formal and informal avenues of policy design, implementation, monitoring, follow-up, and review at all levels. I am providing young people a platform for dialogue to create an evidence base for best practices through the assessment of existing knowledge, generating new knowledge, identification of emerging issues, and effective use and dissemination

As a Global Citizen, I champion the Global Goals through high-profile advocacy, storytelling and strategic collaborations in ways most accessible and relatable to us young people across different contexts. I am engaging in global conversations, including at UN and international events, to amplify youth perspectives on sustainable development.

I am building a world on the collective principles of solidarity, justice, equity, universality, inclusion, human rights, diversity and the integrity of the planet. As Global Citizens we should strive for a resilient world where young people and all rights holders in all their diversity are equals in decision making.

As a Co-Founder of Kikao Cultures, through Vision 2030 4 Young Global Citizens, we provide young people with a platform that encourages us all to lead, join, showcase, and share innovative and effective actions addressing the needs of people and the planet.
